Hello everybody!

I’m very excited to be on Dissonant Grids after many months of admiring Owen’s puzzle work both on this blog and in major newspapers. Because I am a teenage constructor who turned 16 in August, Owen has been inspirational!

I came up with the idea for this puzzle in school - it was a topic in one of my classes, and I immediately knew I wanted to make it a puzzle, and I also knew exactly the gimmick that I would use. Eventually, I decided the puzzle would be perfect for Dissonant Grids and I sent it his way.

It’s a very personal puzzle for me, and I’m quite happy with how it turned out. I should note that I do not officially have 38-Across, but I think that this is nevertheless a representation of myself in many ways and I am very happy to be able to share it with all of you on this platform.

Big thanks to Owen for running this puzzle - he’s totally awesome, and what he’s doing on Dissonant Grids is incredible. Here’s a link to more of my puzzle work (which was very obviously inspired by Owen’s version), and if you want to email me about anything puzzle-related, my email is zacharyedwardbrown at gmail.

I really hope you enjoy this puzzle :)
