two not touch: an angry touchword vignette (dissonant grid #5)
hello beautiful amazing solvers
first, congrats to a very special iconic solver (whose name i forgot to ask permission to use, and now i'm writing this and i have to publish the post!) for winning last month's metapuzzle. though the contest is now closed, please continue to solve that puzzle if you want!!! and i do have extra stickers and they look very pretty so if you'll be at ACPT come find me and i can set you up.
without further ado...
today's puzzle is not about mental health! nor is it a crossword puzzle!
rather, it's a touchword (details below) that i made to depict how fucked up the world is. if you don't think the world is fucked up right now, i'm very happy for you that you have the profound luxury of feeling that way, and please don't solve my blog puzzles.
here's how to do a touchword puzzle:
each row contains two entries. they are both clued, and in order, but their lengths are for you to determine. rather than there being down entries, every letter is identical to either the letter directly above it, below it, or both. the first & bottom rows connect, as if the puzzle is wrapping around. that is to say, the top row is "directly below" the bottom row, for all intents and purposes.
as for the funky letters... good fucking luck.
content warnings are here as always
i love you.
